Fresh from his success with his three recordings in which he teamed with shakuhachi master Riley Lee; and multiple solo performances at Milton Lau's Slack Key Festival, highly regarded guitarist Jeff Peterson is releasing his first solo CD, "Kahealani." The Maui-born artist cut his chops with the paniolo of Haleakala Ranch before moving on to study with slack key luminary Ozzie Kotani and well-known Classical and Jazz guitarists. A prolific writer, Jeff's compositions for guitar and guitar ensembles have been performed both here and abroad. Equally comfortable playing for a noted opera singer or a lawn-full of ki ho`alu enthusiasts, Jeff's music is varied.
