HONOLULU, HAWAI`I, APRIL, 2003…Hi`ipoi I Ka `Aina Aloha (Cherish the Beloved Land) by Aunty Edith Kanaka`ole, now available in compact disc format.  This album originally released in 1979 is a wonderful expression of her love of the `äina (land) through song.  Singing and playing her `ukulele, she was supported by the music of George and Moses Kahumoku and Nä `Oiwi, lead by Kalani Meneicke.  Her performance earned her a second Nä Hökü Hanohano Award for the Best Traditional Hawaiian Album of 1980.
